Our department primarily focuses on education and clinical practice in oral rehabilitation, aiming to restore and maintain oral function and aesthetics by replacing missing teeth and jawbone with dentures or dental implants. Additionally, we actively engage in rehabilitation aimed at improving oral functions that have declined as a result of aging or illness, such as dysphagia and speech disorders, employing specialized knowledge and clinical techniques. In our research, we conduct a wide range of studies, including gerontological research and field surveys, as well as the development and clinical application of novel dental materials and techniques. Furthermore, we explore biological responses to dental materials. Through our research, we engage in both clinical and fundamental investigations to advance the field of prosthetic dentistry and contribute to the maintenance of oral and overall health.
